Trend Businesses in the Philippines

Aloha Everybody!!! I'm back!!!

Consumers are more keen to buy products that are in trend, even if some are not that quality but it's a trend, consumers will still buy it just because some consumers are impulsive. As an aspiring entrepreneur and a consumer, I am curious as to what are the trends nowadays. There are so many products available in the market but only a few are trending. For today's blog, I'm gonna share businesses that are trending in the market. Some may be familiar to you.

1. FOOD CART BUSINESS

Filipinos love food, and they love to eat; there’s no argument for that. Food carts are one of the business trends in the Philippines because it’s not uncommon for people in Asia to eat out for most meals. Many Filipinos prefer eating meals at food carts or stalls because it’s cheaper than eating at restaurants or cafes.

These started appearing in malls and universities where students would sell snacks, sandwiches, and other food items. Some people even make it a side hustle, but most do it out of passion so that they can earn extra money in their spare time.

If you are someone new in the business industry, it is safe to try first franchising a food cart. One is the convenience of setting up the cart anywhere you want. You can assemble it near many people in malls, schools, parks, or places. It’s a great training ground to learn the science of the food industry and business.

2. ECO-FRIENDLY PRODUCTS

A big percentage of consumers in the Philippines is becoming more environmentally conscious. More people are choosing to purchase eco-friendly or “green” products that are more sustainable and environmentally friendly. Driven by the passion and mission to save the environment, more organic and sustainable products are being produced and well-received by clients.

Among the popular organic products are watches, toothbrushes, bikes made from bamboo, reusable baby diapers, bags made from discarded juice containers, and many more. This business venture has also created job opportunities for the locals because the business owners hire the former to produce the products.

3. BEAUTY AND WELLNESS BUSINESS

With the onset of social media, people are more concerned with their physical appearances. It is not uncommon to see women spending hours in salons getting their hair done, nails polished, or having a facial treatment done. Men are increasingly becoming more conscious of their appearance as well, in part because of Korean pop culture’s influence.

As a result, there is an increasing demand for beauty and wellness services in the Philippines. This is evident by the number of salons, spas, nail bars, and barbershops that have opened up in recent years. In fact, there’s also a growing trend for premium/sophisticated barber shops for men like Bossman and Bruno’s.

Despite the tough competition in this business industry, more entrepreneurs are interested in putting up their salons due to their high market demand.

*Side Comment:)

As we can observe, here in the Philippines, food cart businesses and beauty wellness are really in trend. Most Filipinos are into social media especially Facebook and Tiktok where there are so many influencers advertising beauty products and food vloggers visiting different kinds of food businesses. They are one of the reasons why people know the trends and influence them to buy because of their great skills in influencing people to use the products. This is my output for this week see you again in my next blog!
